Academics

Verified

Being verified:Dates, rules and thresholds are from the 2026-27 presentations. The French-course details (hours, days) are written for year 1 and may differ in years 2 and 3. Confirm anything that affects a grade with the academic team.

Calendar

  • Semester 1: 28 September 2026 to 30 January 2027.
  • Semester 2: 8 February to 26 June 2027.

Your tools

  • Zeus shows your timetable. Check it every day, because dates, times and rooms change.
  • Student Portal: your username and password arrive on your EPITA email. Use it to edit your profile, pay fees (EPITA recommends Flywire), get school certificates, check attendance and download transcripts.
  • EPITA login: your EPITA email address is your login, with one password for all EPITA applications. If you forget it, use the recovery page from the EPITA onboarding slide.

Attendance

  1. Teachers track attendance and absences affect your grade.
  2. If you miss 20% or more of a class, you cannot write the final exam. You retake the class as a resit the next semester.
  3. A teacher can refuse you entry if you are late.
  4. Frequent unexcused absences lead to a disciplinary council and a formal warning.

Justify an absence

  1. You receive an email when you are marked absent.
  2. Submit your justification within 48 hours of the class.
  3. Upload it only on the Student Portal. Nothing sent any other way is considered.
  4. Accepted proof: a French doctor’s note (unless you are abroad), confirmation of an administrative appointment (visa, CAF, CPAM) or an internship interview.
  5. The document is validated, rejected or you are asked to upload it again.

Discipline

A council can be called for cheating and plagiarism, absences, academic results or disrespectful behaviour. Two councils trigger a review that can end in exclusion from the programme.

French language

French courses are compulsory. To graduate, BSc students need at least B2 French. All students take the TCF test, in the second-to-last semester, to certify it. You take a placement test and join a group by level. Year-1 courses run on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. If a teacher assigns you a tutoring session, attendance is compulsory and missing it costs one point. Contact: [email protected].

Contact and communication

Write to [email protected] and say which programme you are in. Emails must be formal. Teams messages are not answered. Student representatives are elected for each programme to pass on your academic questions.

Careers

Corporate Relations runs career fairs, job dating and CV and interview workshops. Use JobTeaser (link on EPITA’s career slide) to search for internships. After you find one, use the EPITA platform to create your internship agreement.

Common problems

  • Missed the 48 hours. Write formally to [email protected] and explain. The presentation describes no exception, so do not count on one.
  • Fees. If you cannot pay on time, contact EPITA before the deadline with proof. Late fees start the day after.

Common questions

Does EPITA answer messages on Teams?

No. Staff do not reply to Teams messages, except in an extremely urgent case such as a medical emergency. Send a formal email instead, with no capital letters, abbreviations, emojis or chat-style language.

How do I justify an absence?

Upload your justification on the Student Portal within 48 hours of the class. Nothing sent any other way is considered. Accepted proof includes a French doctor’s note, an administrative appointment confirmation or an internship interview. Missing 20% or more of a class means you cannot write the final exam.

What French level do I need to graduate from the BSc?

At least B2. All students take the TCF test in the second-to-last semester to certify it. French courses are compulsory, and you join a group by level after a placement test.

Where do I check my timetable?

On Zeus, at zeus.ionis-it.com. Check it every day, because dates, times and rooms can change.
